Stealing the show!
Betty Grable was one of the most successful stars in Hollywood during the 1940's. In fact, the Department of the Treasury listed her as the highest paid woman in the country from 1946-1947. Betty had a great quote - when given the news, she said, "There are two reasons why I've been so successful in show business and I'm standing on both of them." We beg to differ and we can prove it. Her list of wonderful films includes DOWN ARGENTINE WAY, CONEY ISLAND and SWEET ROSIE O'GRADY makes the point nicely. In the film TIN PAN ALLEY she and Alice Faye introduced "The Sheik of Araby" to filmgoers ... as well as this gorgeous pair of diamond flower earrings.
