Discovered at the ripe old age of 17 in a Hollywood drugstore, Ms. Turner quickly became a popular actress as well as a popular wife. She was married eight times, twice to Steve Crane. In 1957 Ms. Turner was finally recognized by the Academy with a nomination for her performance in PEYTON PLACE (1957). In a publicity photo she wore a unique ring featuring a blue center stone surrounded by 28 small diamonds.
