Marlene's Morocco

Marlene Dietrich was born in Germany in 1901 and worked on stage and in silent films throughout Berlin and Vienna thru the 1920s. She was discovered by director Joseph Von Sternberg who gave her a small role in The Blue Angel (1930) which was her first major German sound film. Sternberg then encouraged the budding star to move to Hollywood where she was cast in her first lead in Von Sternberg's film Morocco (1930). The role brought Dietrich her first and only Academy Award - quite the Hollywood entrance!

I love it, love it forever, your jewelry collection that is. I feel as if I am one of the stars of the past when I wore one of the collections. I borrowed my girlfriends rings that she bought from you. I will be ordering in the future when I decide which one. I love them all and want them all. - Camp Springs MD
